The Legacy Café & Bar occupies a restored federation-style building that once operated as a bakery and butcher in Balgownie during it’s growth in the early 1900’s. Built in 1909, the site remains part of the village’s last historic streetscape, defined by its brick façade and original architectural detailing.

Our story began as a simple neighbourhood wine bar, a cosy, welcoming space where locals could gather to enjoy good company and great wine. As our build grew, so did our vision. Inspired by the building’s timeless character and the passion of the people who would fill it, we began to evolve, refining our offering while staying true to it’s roots.
The vision for The Legacy has transformed into a hopeful premium dining destination, now home to a world-class culinary experience, led by our international Chef Edward and accomanpied by Chef Paul. With a commitment to excellence and a love for showcasing global flavours, we elevated our menu to match the quality of our wines and the elegance of our restored surroundings.
